I believe this daguerreotype dates to April-July

light and insignificant bends

and under magnification it seems that nearly all of the specks are on the glass

Leather case is only about 2" tall when closed. There is no location or ID with this image, but it was from a small lot of photos out of Massachusetts, one of which was marked with a Boston studio.. so I believe this was taken in or around Boston as well. Pic 1 taken with cell phone in bright daylight, the second is a direct scan. Overall in very good antique condition
